The entire concept of TE aura is predicated on the idea that in chapter 213, page 12, the only thing that could be burning Sukuna is the aura radiating around Hana/Angel. Which if you just look at that page in a vacuum is totally understandable, but with the context of page 11, the theory becomes unsubstantiated as we see Hana/Angel set up an attack and aim it directly at Sukuna the page before. We even see that Hana/Angel has the trumpet she uses for her technique in her hand on page 11. That is what is burning Sukuna on page 12, not an alleged TE aura. Her aura is just a CE aura in the same way we’ve seen multiple characters in the series produce a CE aura.

Cursed Spirit Technique Extraction/Engravement:

By clasping their hands together while calling “Maw” then unclasping and spreading their arms widely, the user of this technique creates a large set of jaws with multiple rows of fangs that extend two meters past and also encompasses the wing span of the user spreading their arms. Then by clapping the users hands together the jaws closes, bitting down on and taking chunks out of/completely consuming anything in the jaws range. The the bite of this jaw also constitute the barriers of a domain, but in a way more similar to Domain Amplification than Druhv’s technique. The jaws are created with domain barriers that aren’t imbued with a cursed technique and leave space to absorb the techniques of anything within range of the technique, and since the effect is localized to only the space between the users arms and the range of the technique, other techniques being used aren’t nullified by use of the jaws despite them using the same barriers used for Domain Amplification.

Curses exorcised by this ability that also have cursed techniques can then be subject to Cursed Technique Extraction, allowing the user to take their technique for permanent use. This can only be used on cursed spirits specifically, Sorcerer’s techniques are not eligible for Cursed Technique Extraction, unless they have been granted to a sorcerer by the user, then they can be freely Extracted at any time.

Once Extracted the user can choose to use Cursed Technique Engravement to engrave the technique into an object, person or shikigami. While objects can only be Engraved with one technique at a time, objects can have techniques Extracted and Engraved freely without consequence.

People on the other hand can only ever be Engraved with a technique once, and if they are subject to Cursed Technique Extraction the process typically will kill them or cause severe and permanent brain damage.

Shikigami are where the technique really shines as shikigami can be Engraved with up to four techniques at a time and similarly to objects can have techniques Engraved and Extracted freely as they don’t have to worry about brain damage the same way people do.

While a powerful technique in it’s own right, it’s main use was to build the clans political and marital power. Through the use of cursed technique Engravement to grant people techniques, many powerful Sorcerers and Non-Sorcerers alike were heavily indebted to the clan. Giving the clan many useful allies as well as giving the clan the ability to make certain every family had use of a technique.
