Am I hypomanic and if so what do I do?

A few days ago I was not even getting out of bed and severely suicidal. Now I’m clubbing, cleaning the house, making plans, spending recklessly. My thoughts are also quite disorganised and I keep abandoning tasks I enthusiastically started.

I’m guessing I am hypomanic but I don’t know what to do about it. I am trying to put a lid on the spending but other than that what do I do when I feel like this?

Edit: this is my first potential hypomanic episode since diagnosis

Any meds that helped specifically for suicidal ideation?

This had been my main issue for over a year now. I was thinking of talking about some meds with my doctor. What helped with si for you? I seriously think I will end up dead sooner rather than later if this continues.

Was told to move up my appointment if feeling very low or suicidal. What’s the point of going earlier though?

I’ve been feeling very suicidal. I have been on the verge of going to the ER several nights recently. But it’s not like there is a magic pill that will fix my suicidal ideation even if I go to my psych earlier, right?

Have you moved up your appointment because you felt worse? What did the doctor do for you?

Trust issue with my psychiatrist forgetting treatment plan. How involved are you with your own treatment?

I had an issue with my new-ish psychiatrist a couple months ago.

When I started quetiapine, she said the plan was to titrate quetiapine to 300-600mg over time. Next appointment she forgot and almost discontinued it until I asked her about it.

On the same day she also almost forgot to titrate lamotrigine. I reminded her of it and then she prescribed me the correct dose.

Now she isn’t titrating quetiapine again and I’m not sure if it’s on purpose or if I should be asking about it.

How much input do you give about your treatment plan? How often do you ask about your meds? Does your psychiatrist take your opinions into consideration?

I’m currently taking lamotrigine 200mg, abilify 10mg, and quetiapine 100mg (+ clonazepam) but they are doing nothing for me. I have been taking them at these doses for at least 2-3 months now so I expected at least partial changes. I wanted to hear about your experiences… please give me hope!
