Made a dimmable lamp inspired by the geometry of snowflakes :)
Been fascinated by snowflakes ever since I came across the macro photography works by Kenneth Libbrecht. It can stand on a flat surface or be hang through a detachable hanging module.

I've been fascinated by the branching structures of snow crystals for a while, and spent some time studying macro photographs of different snowflakes — especially the way six-fold symmetry can produce such an incredible variety of forms.
Eventually I tried translating some of those patterns into a three-dimensional light. I designed the branching geometry digitally, then 3D printed the structure in translucent material so that the light could travel through the branches.
This is the finished piece glowing in the dark. I thought fellow snow appreciators here might enjoy seeing it. :)
Hey guys, last winter on my way to the groceries with a friend, he kept complaining each time his tote bag slipped from his shoulder. An idea struck me that maybe I could make something to help solve this problem.
I sketched out some ideas and tried different anti-slip materials. After many iterations I arrived at this design. The silicone grooves adds grip onto your shoulder. The wrap-around structure is removable and doesn't cause residue or modification to your bag strap.
So far it seems to work quite well! I gave one to my dad and he even goes cycling with it securing his bag on one shoulder, without the need to wear his bag crossbody.
Have you had this issue before? How have you tried to fix it? Curious about your experience and how this can help to address this problem we all shared :)
