2026 Gladiator Rubicon: How do you turn off the radio but keep Android Auto navigation running?

I'm trying to figure out if there's a setting I'm missing or if this is just how the Uconnect system works.

Here's my situation:

I'm listening to the radio while Android Auto is connected and an active navigati route using Google Maps on the screen. When I'm done listening to the radio, I'd like to turn the radio off but keep Google Maps displayed and continue hearing navigation instructions and alerts.

The problem is that pressing the physical volume/power knob turns off the screen. Turning the volume all the way down or pressing mute silences the navigation instructions and alerts along with the radio.

Is there a way to stop the radio from playing without turning off the Uconnect system or muting all audio? Ideally, I'd like to keep Android Auto and Google Maps running, with navigation voice prompts and alerts still audible, but have no radio playing in the background.

Is there a setting I need to change, or is there another way to do this? I'd like to hear how others handle this.

Note: I have not changed any settings, it is still set to whatever the dealership had it set to.

What am I giving up and what am I gaining?

I drove a cj5 throughout my teens and for a few years after. I did not even even own a canvas top. Absolute zero comforts. To this day the most fun vehicle I've owned.

Life, a wife, kids, and responsibilities led me away from jeeps. It's been over 30 years and I want back in.

I am giving up a super comfortable and a quiet smooth full size pickup. Looking into a 26 wilys.

What should I expect? What am I to gain by this move?

I somehow got suckered into watching this show. I'm not even mad.

I got suckered into watching this show. I am hooked but I cannot stop complaining about it. Maybe that's goal of the show. Repetitive plots, Plot holes, insane plots, the list goes on.

I think I have more fun calling out the silliness and the constant insults to the viewer’s intelligence than the storylines.

Been binge watching with no plans on stopping. Is this wrong? Am I alone in this?

How is Eminem so successful in keeping his dating partner(s) private?

There was this huge discussion about mega famous folks' privacy and this question came up, so I decided to ask here.

Well. Dutton Ranch done hooked me.

Dammit. Dutton Ranch done hooked me. I told myself after YS that I would stay away from any spinoffs. Mainly for fear of more Taylor's loose end storylines.

I have to say... I am liking DR

Watched braking bad for the first time. What a sad story.

The whole time, THE ENTIRE TIME, I could not stop feeling bad for Jesse. The show did a great job with his character. The entire cast, except maybe Mrs. Hinesburg. That took a few episodes... anyway. Great show.

Edit... to be clear, maybe the first five episodes, I could not stand Skyler (II could not recall her name at initial post). Once the character was established it was all good. The entire cast was just insanely good. Oh and I just realized I misspelled Heisenberg. LOL I am ready to re-watch.
