Went through Tesla AI Hardware panel, hiring manager wanted to move forward and gave initial verbal offer. Had comp call with HR, submitted counter 3 weeks ago. HR sent one update saying ‘finalizing panels’ but nothing since. My counter was within their stated range and they explicitly said they could go above it if needed.

Now have a competing offer with a deadline. Planning to inform Tesla today.

Is this normal for Tesla? Does ‘finalizing panels’ mean they’re still interviewing other candidates for my specific role?

Any experience with Tesla’s hiring timeline post-counter would be helpful.”

Is it okay to switch companies during H4 and H4 EAD is in process. We have H1B PP + H4 + EAD bundled filed and H1B already approved. But now I got another better offer but H4 and EAD still under process. Is it okay to switch and have H1B transfer to other employer. Does it going to affect H4 process?
