Run on a Dedicated PC/Server or on Main PC?

Hello, looking to spin up a Minecraft server for 6-8 people either Vanilla or something like Life In The Woods. Anyways I have an older PC with an i5 7500 and 32 GB ram and was wondering would it be better to run the server on the older machine as it'd be dedicated to the server or would I be better off using my main PC which has an i5 12400 32 GB Ram and an RX6400. My main PC would run the server but also my daily office tasks (Web Browsing/Youtube) and do very light gaming such as Minecraft from the same server I'd be hosting and maybe some other light games such as Among us. Both PC's as of now run Win 11 but I could format the older machine to run Debian. They would be hardwired and I average 40-42 Mbps for my upload.

Thanks for any help/Suggestions you can provide.

Porting number from AT&T

Hello,

We are currently with AT&T, and one of our lines is being ported to US Mobile while the rest stay on AT&T. I just want to make sure everything goes smoothly.

The device is a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G. It is currently locked to AT&T but is eligible to be unlocked. I submitted the unlock request through AT&T, and they provided an unlock code along with instructions to insert another carrier's SIM card and enter the unlock code.

They tried US Mobile over the past month with a new number and liked the service, so now they want to make the switch permanent and port over their existing AT&T number. Since the Galaxy S20 FE 5G doesn't support eSIM, they'll be using a physical SIM.

Can someone confirm that I have the correct order of operations?

  • Dial *PORT from the AT&T phone to get the Transfer PIN, and get the AT&T account number from the bill.
  • Submit the port request: Start the number porting process with US Mobile using the Transfer PIN and account number.
  • Wait for the AT&T SIM to lose service: Leave the AT&T SIM in the phone until it completely loses signal, indicating that AT&T has released the number to US Mobile.
  • Insert the US Mobile SIM: Power off the phone (if desired), remove the AT&T SIM, and insert the new US Mobile physical SIM.
  • Enter the unlock code: When the phone starts with the US Mobile SIM, it should display a prompt such as "SIM Network Unlock PIN" or "Enter Unlock Code." Enter the unlock code that AT&T provided.

Thanks!

All of a sudden have no service

Hello, I got my grandma a NUU F4L flip phone and the $30 eBay redpocket plan that is using ATT towers and everything was working but all of a sudden today she says it's not working and I looked and she has no service. I have restarted the phone, turned on and off airplane mode and taken out the sim card and put it back in to no avail. I checked her account and everything is active and good there as the plan is for 1 year and I just got it for her in July.

In her phone for sim status it says Network Unknown, Signal Strength 0, Mobile Network Type unknown, service state out of service, Not roaming, Mobile network state disconnected than lists her Phone # IMEI # and IMEI SV. So what are my next steps to try?

Thanks,

Edit; It seems to be working again, I finally got a hold of someone at Redpocket and she said she updated the account not sure what she did but as for now it's back to working.
