Counselors: In hindsight, how do you feel about the educational path you chose? Hello and Happy Monday!

Hello and Happy Monday!

If you got a Masters in Counseling do you wish you would have got a MSW? (and why?)

If you got a MSW do you wish you would have gotten a Masters in Counseling? (and why?)

I am on the Counseling masters track (in Missouri/USA) and am 6 classes (3 semesters) deep. I just spoke to the person who encouraged me (only part of the decision) to take the counseling and she now says she does not recommend. I am curious to here more perspectives while I think it all over.

Thank you so much in advance!!
