Anyone ever not receive their full order?

I recently ordered 3 of an item. there was only one tracking number provided and only one was delivered to me. It was just in a plastic mailer sleeve.

When I contacted support, the Woot representative said I need to fill out a UPS claim. However, UPS delivered the package. The package was just packaged wrong it seems. has anyone had something like this happen as well?

Atomic Angle Grinder Bundle - Decent deal IMO

I grabbed one. $214 after tax in CA (California not Canada lol)

5ah 20v and 4ah 20v PP batteries with a charger.

EDIT: Looks like this is a BOGO as well. So you can “hack” it if you go to the grinder or the battery page standalone and purchase as a BOGO, instead of as a bundle with the link I provided. I’m keeping both so am ok buying as a bundle.

As a BOGO it comes out to about $120 of the batteries and $80 for the Atomic grinder.

Installing undermount sink basin backwards?

Why the difference in ridges on the front vs the back of the basin? I want to rotate the basin 180 degrees so the drain is in the left.

It’s an under mount basin so it’s going under the countertop. The goal in mounting with the drain on the left is to have there be less plumbing running through the cabinet. Wall drain comes from the left, dishwasher on right. Disposal will be attached.

What makes this a bad idea? Do you think I’m missing anything here?

Shed Base input?

So I’m building an 8x10 shed, with future mobility in mind. I want to have the shed to be on grade with the grass. It’ll be 2x6 joists on 2x4 or 4x4 skids. I have this 2x4 frame in place for my gravel base; it’ll have a weed block and then 3/8 or 3/4 gravel.

On to the question, I think I wanted the base to contain the gravel and provide a clean delineation of the base from the surrounding area. However, I’m contemplating just ditching the frame and doing just the gravel over the weed block. I’ve already done the hard work of digging and leveling though. Just have to level the dirt a bit and put in the weed block.

Should I stick with the plan or ditch the gravel frame?

Leaf blower noise: DCBL720 vs DCBL722?

I’ve had the 720 for many years and love it tbh. Its a 2019 date code. Recently got a 722 as a replacement. However, the noise from it is extremely annoying compared to the 720…

While only 5db louder, it has this much higher pitched whine to it. The difference is massive to me, and honestly it doesn’t even seem that much better at pushing air. Has anyone else experienced this?

XY Evolutions Mewtwo Slab

Slab is of an older make but looks and feels ok. Card looks a bit sus though for a 9.

Some white patches on the back and a weird corner.

Thoughts?

Yard equipment deals: pruning, trimming, blowing - Ace Hardware

Seems like a pretty good deal on some yard equipment. They have a couple different bundles. So you could do the pruning chainsaw versus the hedge trimmer.

Couldn’t find the equivalent or better deals from the other big box stores.

I have all these tools, but I would certainly jump on this if I didn’t.

Avoid 805 south at all costs

The 805 S. is completely backed up past university. They have all the exits blocked off and everything gets fed down to one lane. It’s absolutely horrible and you’re pretty much in traffic prison. Avoid avoid avoid.

So I’ve started selling older tools and batteries as I purchase new ones for good deals with batteries and such. I already have several full sets of the basics. When do you rotate out tools?

I’m on the fence with one: DCS388 60v Reciprocating Saw. I’ve had it since it came out basically and used to use it a fair amount when I was doing construction more, but haven’t used it in years really. Its in great shape, I just don’t use it much compared to the 20v ones and needing a FV battery is kind of a pain. I have the DCS367 and DCS382 20v reciprocating saws and PowerPack batteries.

Im thinking of selling with it with a 6ah Flexi for like $200. Do you think it’s worth holding onto? Is it really that much more powerful than the 20v recip saws with a PowerPack? I just can’t think of a use case where it’s needed in the near future vs just using the 20v versions.
