4 weeks post-op and took some set shots in the boot

not a regular thing but i really wanted to shoot a basketball. the vacoped and evenup are a beautiful thing. it’s been a real gamechanger for me when it comes to being able to put weight on your injured foot and walking again.

i have still yet to do ANY dorsiflexion yet as instructed by my doctor but in the vacoped, i’ve been going out for lunch every day, hitting the gym, and just trying to go back to normal again.

good luck everyone on their recovery journey!

first Premier League + stream, what did y’all think?

just watched the first live stream on the new Premier League + platform. thought it was pretty smooth and quality was actually really good. the stats and lineup stuff is also a nice tough. quite a nice add cuz i was already subscribed to starhub anyway. how was it for yall?

am i walking right in the vacoped? 3.5 weeks post-op

thanks for all the advice yesterday. i’ve gotten the even up and gone back to one crutch. feels a lot better for sure and for the most part i’m able to walk comfortably. walking slower in the video to demonstrate the pushing off.

wanted to ask — as you can see my toes (in red sock) is peeking out a little. when i try to push off in a natural walking gait, my toes aren’t really stepping onto anything, so it feels like there’s nothing for me to push off. this part feels a little odd but not painful.

i guess my question is am i meant to walk like this in the vacoped? or is my boot too small? i’m a US 11.5 in a medium. or am i only meant to stop at midsole and not rock forward to my toes when i walk?

appreciate any help from seasoned vacoped users as this is my first week or so using the vacoped. thanks!

edit: my sole is already set to max

First no-crutch steps 3 weeks post-op

3 weeks and 2 days post-op! i got switched into an aircast boot last tuesday after exactly 2 weeks post-op and bought myself a secondhand vacoped boot which i’ve been using for walking.

how are my steps looking and any tips on getting back to walking faster/stronger? for the last week i’ve found it hard mentally to put full weight on my injured foot but today it somehow clicked and managed to get in some unassisted steps, though very slow and laborious of course.

there’s no pain except for sometimes in the heel when it presses onto the boot but for the most part it’s manageable.

also wondering if anyone also has their toes poking out slightly in a vacoped? it feels weird for me as i’m on the edge between a medium and large, but my big toe kinda hangs off the end and when i step to push off my toes it feels like there’s no boot beneath my feet. or am i just not meant to walk that way for now?

been hitting my toe curls at least twice daily and can see progress in getting my control and strength back.
appreciate any tips as this group has been a huge help for me these last 5 weeks since the injury. thanks!

can stream premier league games this weekend?

seems that there is an expanded trial for tonight and tomorrow premier league games. the man utd, man city, and arsenal games are all available. anyone trying it out? quite excited for this to launch as my household doesn’t use starhub so i usually have to watch my football from other sources ahem.
