If you are looking to switch energy providers in Texas after being on an expensive month to month plan, Energy Texas is one of the best providers you can go with. Great and easy to use website, lots of plans with low rates, and $5 credit every month for enrolling in autopay and paperless billing.

I am on the No Bull 12 month plan which is 11.3 cents per kWh for 500 kWh and 1000 kWh usage. It is 11.4 cents per kWh for 2000 kWh usage. If you wait until September 1, you can get in on the September Savin' 6 plan for 11 cents per kWh for 500 kWh and 1000 kWh usage. This is probably a difference of a few bucks each month but hey - every little bit helps.
