Long and short. Been in my house 9 years and have an overbearing “makes the rules” neighbor. I’ve been pretty good at keeping the peace and my best to be respectful full but she has become insanely petty again and is now full on harassing me.

We like to hang outside and have since we moved in. We have now been giving strict curfew of 11 o clock. While I understand there is a noise ordinance (which we are not that loud), this only became an issue because I put furniture there to make it “official”. She even mentioned that I should move my furniture else where because we bother her. I understand weeknights completely and even on a weekend, we will abide and go inside or move somewhere else, which sucks seeing as I’m an adult with a family and we are hanging with our neighbors while the kids chill and what not. Def not having any ragers lol.

Here’s where it gets a lil wacky. Recently moved a car I was working on out of the driveway and am now parking mine and my wife’s car in said driveway. She asked me to put the broken car back because she doesn’t want to be woken up when we go to work. Then, she came over to tell me that the car I put in the street is not registered (dunno how she found that out) and that the cops are gonna come and ticket me. So, now I just got a call from the cops that there was an abandoned car parked out front of my house. I explained the situation to them and they understood completely (I’m not the only person she does this to) but I will have to address it. As opposed to putting the car back, I’m gonna get it registered. It’s definitely a petty thing to do but Like, I feel like I should be able to use my driveway and I’m selling that car anyway so it will be gone soon regardless.

Anything I do from here that does not appease her will be an act of war and I’m not sure how to approach it. She will call the cops on every sneeze if she wants and even tho they are aware of her and her behavior with others there is only so much they can do. She has done this to others on the block before. Like, she literally bought an infinity to park out front of her house because she doesn’t want others parking there (would call the cops about that too but it’s a public street so not their problem). Majority of the block won’t associate with her because of the shit she pulls and the hatred she has for any human that’s not her. I’m just stuck next to her.

I can write stories for days about the crazy that happens but this is the recent shit I’m dealing with that is becoming harder to navigate.

Im sure some of you are gonna think I’m the asshole but you have to witness it to see how extreme she actually is. Also, incase you don’t think she is that bad, she’s pretty racist.

Not sure where to go from here. Don’t want to have any problems and would rather just keep the peace but also don’t want to be policed by my neighbor for everything I do.
