10 more Chaos Warrios done in a more classical chaos style than my first ones. Some bits used from the Chariot and Chaos Knights to make them a bit more special. Also tried some varied bases with modeling paste and bark.
Hi! Needed something else after painting an StD Spearhead and managed to grab this guy for real cheap on an online drift store. First Tau I have painted in 25+ years. Wasn’t going for any official sept colour.
Tried to use as few colours as possible so a lot of different mixes in the model. Any C&C is welcome and be honest please!
One moro photo of the complete StD Spearhead force now with all the spring winter muddy field basing also done. Still need to varmish all but the warriors so I dare touch them regularly and play some games and see if I really like the play style before possibly expanding on the army.
In the end I really liked painting the warriors most overall but the model I am happiest with is the Lord. Somehow I managed to make him pop in my eyes and be the centerpiece of the army.
Last piece of the Spearhead is finished and ready for battle hopefully soon. Final assembly was abit of a pain but I quite liked painting this model. Especially happy with how the main guy turned out and how the blue armor looks in the end on the riders, horses and cart itself. And green horses because… chaos?😅
Finally after many months and god knowes how many one hour sessions of painting these Chaos Knights are done and my Spearhead is only missing a chariot anymore. Tbh these were a pain to paint at times as I was just constantly finding more and more details unpainted and if I had known how ass the push fitting can be I would’ve cut all those pegs away.
They are not perfectly assembled because of this which annoys me but in the end they came together all right and look cohesive even though I was hesitating the different armor colours on them all.
Onwards to the chariot.
