It crossed my mind that right now the Blazers aren’t sure what kind of team they will have next season. If a big star comes (Giannis, Brown, etc), the ceiling and the stakes will be higher. Could it be that they are waiting until after the Giannis situation is settled to pick a coach? I’ve been buying into the negative reasons (Dundon is cheap and/or too distracted by the NHL), but maybe there’s a positive reason? Maybe they want a coach to best match the roster?

Jaylen Brown had a great year. The Blazers would have to play small (Jrue, Dame, Brown, Tou, Cling Kong). I think it’d be feasible and intriguing!
