I'm work assignment as a T6. Multiple times my supervisor is only allowing me to case the open route on my string and not carry any of it.

I'm losing OT that I should be getting and getting zero compensation.

Do I have to go above my steward?

When I got home from work, I turned on my kitchen sink and heard it kind of struggling to drain. I ran to my basement to see the basement drain had backed up.

Luckily, a drain guy came out tonight and ran the snake to clear the clog. He told me from one pipe to the other pipe in my basement was full of roots, which I saw he was pulling out.

He's coming back Tuesday to run a jet and a camera.

He's charging $750 for that and says it's a 3 year guarantee.

I bought the house a year and a few months ago and haven't had a problem until now.

From what I'm reading, this sort of thing is just a band-aid? Will I likely need it cleared again in that 3 year period?

It has been extremly humid here and only getting hotter.

Today, I had a Metris and was doing park and loop. I started dry heaving at one point.

It was a struggle to finish the 10 hours.

I've been carrying 6 years. Never been so affected by the heat. Dreading another day of it tomorrow.

Any idea what transpired? This is such a bizarre story.

Chopper 7 flew above the scene as a Volkswagen SUV in a middle lane sat with its windows blown out. A bomb squad unit from the Cook County Sheriff's Office with guns drawn appeared to investigate the SUV.

So, is this all true?

We're just going to bend over to save the Postal Service money? And it's already been decided on? And not a word from our union?

The Postal Service doesn't want to put the money on the table that would be necessary for a negotiated settlement.

Most of the proposals submitted were flat out rejected by the Postal Service.

Major issues, getting rid of mandatory overtime, start times, transfer rules, uniform program, hiring program, harassment on the workroom floor.... None of that is being discussed because the Postal Service has not accepted we have a problem.

So, the flavor of the month is excessive backing.

I was pulled into the office for non-disciplinary corrective action.

They told me I backed up more than 50 feet on a route on Monday. I asked, okay, where did it happen?

They told me they couldn't tell me where it exactly happened. Just that it happened on my route.

So, how does that help in any way?

The only thing I could think of is a dog charged me, and I slowly walked backwards to get away til the owner came out and got the dog.
