Blue Ribbon Winner
From the LA County fair this past weekend. Crazy work.
Thanks, Mom, for making me a Dodgers fan
My mother moved from St. Louis to Los Angeles in the late ‘40s and never looked back. She always liked the Brooklyn team and was thrilled when they moved west.
I can remember even when I was 5 or 6 the game would be on the radio. When I was 9 or 10 I got a cool transistor radio for my birthday, and would lie on the front lawn in the summertime listening to Vinny.
I bleed Dodger blue, and half my wardrobe has something with Dodgers on it. I have my collection of bobbleheads and autographs, including Garvey, Cey, Lopes and Russell on one hat.
I know your story might be similar to mine, but the difference is I’m a girl, and fell in love with baseball when many girls didn’t care about sports.
Happy Mother’s Day, Mom. Miss you.
The ultimate bbq
LA County Fair yesterday. Thought about buying a turkey leg, but my brain couldn’t justify the price. Ribs, dogs, smoking and smelling great.
