[GeorgenyPerez] The journalist @maryorinmendez reported the discovery of the wife and daughter of Eliezer Alfonzo, both sadly deceased.

from Fabian Ardaya

"Absolutely awful news. Eliezer Alfonzo Jr. is in the Dodgers’ lineup today for his major league debut."

Alanna Rizzo getting a bit salty on the 4th

Seems like she's been catching heat from all angles lately. Dalton Rushing comments. "Patriotism" comments. I like Alanna, but when I see shit like this, I kinda know what direction we're headed with people. Kind of a bummer.

4th of July at the Ravine 🇺🇸

First time going to a game on the 4th and first time getting on the field for the fireworks. Felt like I was in the Sandlot for a moment lol.

Likelyhood of a Josue De Paula call up this season?

With De Paula ripping up the Texas league atm, i thought i'd pose the question, what does everybody think are the chances that he gets a September call up this year and with that an opportunity at making the post season roster.

There is precedent with Seager in 15' & Lux in 19' that a player with his prospect status and hit tool would've in the past been considered for a late run at starting in October.

I do appreciate that the level of payroll now would make it far more unlikely, and unlike Corey & Gavin, there probably isn't that ready made spot waiting for him to walk into. But just forecasting for the future, our bench for the playoffs would be pretty righty heavy as currently constructed. I don't think Alex Call is a 100% certainty of making that squad, especially if Kike is healthy as they do a lot of the same things.

Also, i know he hasn't hit aaa yet, but it's not that unusual for guys of his hype level to pretty much skip that altogether. Although, I can see him getting promoted to OKC after the break.

Help needed—Will I be sitting in a good section?

My friend hooked me up with seats in 45fd for my birthday. Is that section any good? I’m a wheelchair user and want to make sure I’m able to see the game without having to worry about ppl standing up and blocking my view. Thanks in advance for your help.

July 4th Game

The pregame show really made me laugh. They really tried to play a lot of country, even had a cringe line dancing squad. No one responded. It's like, know your audience 🤣🤣

Ex-Dodger Spotted In Round Rock

For anyone curious what happened to him, it looks like the Rangers signed Santiago Espinal to a minor league contract and he's now playing for the Round Rock Express.

Happened to attend the game at Dell Diamond with my folks on July 4, and this familiar face was a nice surprise for a Dodger fan living in central Texas!

Just arrived in Tokyo.

I said I would take a picture of the first ad I saw with Shohei. Didn’t take long, as I saw this a while waiting for my subway at Narita. Happy birthday to the GOAT!

How good would the Dodgers have been in 2024 and 2025 without Shohei Ohtani?

Shohie had undeniably historic seasons in 2024 and 2025. But I was curious if you removed Ohtani from both the 2024 and 2025 Dodgers, how much would their regular-season record and postseason outlook actually change? Given their overall roster construction, elite pitching (when healthy), depth, and stars like Betts and Freeman, would they still be clear World Series favorites? Or was Ohtani's production the difference between being a great team and a historically dominant one?

All Star break vibe check

Now that we’re getting close to the All-Star break, how’s everyone feeling about this year’s Dodgers compared to where we were at this point last season?
Personally, I remember around this time last year things already felt kind of shakey, but we had at least made due.
This year has felt completely different to me. Obviously we’ve had some annoying losses, but I honestly feel like I’ve had way fewer complaints overall.
Makes me curious if anyone else feels the same. I know there are probably a ton of doomers who have something to complain about, but yeah honestly, it feels like a historic season we are having so far.

The Dodgers execute a 3-0 win against the Sadres on America's birthday. Yamamoto pitched 7 beautiful innings, while Freddie homered and got 2 of the Dodgers' 3 RBIs. To cap it off, he got the last out to end the game. How can you not be romantic about baseball?
