I am a new grad and worry that there may be a skill I haven’t performed in a while due to the type of clinical placements I had. What should I do if I am the only nurse on the floor at that time?

I experience some challenges with short-term memory and rely on written notes to stay organized. I am hoping to find some effective and practical strategies to manage it at work. What are some of your best advices?

New grad here the LTC I am working on has no wristbands or identifiers. The residents also have dementia. I am suppose to remember the residents by face and routine. The system is also Point Click Care but I’m more familiar with Epic. I only have 7 buddy shifts before I am on my own.

How do I get more efficient in patient care, memoizing residents and routine? I also need to develop new skills and work on a totally new system with Point Click Care.
