Ratha Jatra 2026
In a sea of devotees, the Divine Siblings leave their temple behind and embrace the world, one pull of the chariot at a time.
Happy Ratha Jatra

Kalantaka
Kalāntaka
At one end stood Yama, waiting to claim what every mortal must one day surrender. At the other stood the young Markandeya, holding tightly to the Śiva Liṅga, his faith unshaken.
As Yama's noose flew, it encircled not just the boy, but the Liṅga itself.
In that single moment, time stopped.
From the Liṅga emerged Śiva, fierce and infinite. With one step, He shattered the certainty of death and revealed a truth greater than destiny itself.
Thus was born Kalāntaka, the One before whom even Time meets its end.
Pati Dian.
Pati Dian
During the sacred Anasara period, when Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra remain away from public darshan after Snana Purnima, devotees offer their prayers to the Pati Dian, the revered Pattachitra forms that embody their divine presence as a proxy to the original diety. Snana Purnima
The journey to the grand Ratha Jatra begins.
It starts with Devasnana Purnima, where the divine siblings are ceremonially bathed with 108 pots of sacred water. They then appear in the majestic Gajanana Besha, adorned with the face of an elephant, a form of symbolizing wisdom, strength, and divine grace. After this sacred ritual, the Lords retire into Anasara, a period of seclusion and rest before they re-emerge to bless the world from their chariots. Every ritual is a chapter, every Besha a story, leading us closer to the grand procession.
