Who here remembers The Video Station?

My parents and I would rent videos from there every Friday night for our traditional “movie night” when I was growing up.

What are and/or were some of your life goals?

So I was thinking, that I still have a lot of goals in life I want to accomplish, such as buying my next car and getting a pilot's license. I'm basically ready to buy a considerably cheap used car and it sounds like a friend of the family who also has been flying lately can take me up in the air for another hour of flight time. I also hope to join a band and tour with them one day. So that led me to ask, what are your life goals? Or what were your life goals, and did you achieve them or not?

How many of you with a PPL or any kind of rating or whatever, studied the FAA Student Pilot handbook before flying?

So I was wondering, how many of you that now have a pilot license, studied the FAA Student Pilot Handbook online or physical copy (or both) before even doing their discovery flight? Personally I want to get back into flying (I never lost interest but finances were an issue and they still are to a degree), and I started studying the FAA student pilot handbooks on the FAA website again, and honestly if I had known there is a free version I would have started reading and studying it a long time ago. I ended up doing my discovery flight before studying the handbook, when I was 21, and I'm 32 now so it's been 11 years because of financial issues.

Does anyone in Denver or nearby have a used car for ~$1500?

So I live in northernmost Thornton (Larkridge area) and I have ~$1500 cash saved up for a used car with under 200,000 miles that will last me a few months to a couple years, that doesn't need any immediate major repairs. It has to be from the 2000s so not super new, with a clean title.

Hello fellow Boulderites, so basically I am looking for a used car for around $1,000 to $1,500 that runs well and has less than 200k miles on the odometer, in the Boulder/Flatiron Valley area. Ideally a Honda, Toyota or Subaru of some kind. If anyone has one for sale, please let me know. I live in the Larkridge area of Thornton but I'm only a few minutes away from Boulder County.
