California starting pay $20?!

I just had an interview and found out the starting pay is $20 at this one place, and based on job listings it seems like most other places. It was a snf.

I don’t understand how it’s only $20 for a job that requires a certification when McDonald’s and every other fast food place also pay $20 starting with better benefits!!

Had my first Spravato treatment and hesitant on going back

Hi y’all, I’m really not sure what to does

I sought out ketamine therapy for treatment-resistant severe depression, anxiety, and ocd. No medications have ever helped me feel better.

I have used psychedelic drugs before and expected the experience to be similar but it wasn’t, although ketamine isn’t really in that class.

The first 30 mins or so were fine, I had John Hopkins music on and I was heavily disassociating.

However, they eventually changed and I started feeling really horrible with severe nausea and I threw up while they were taking my blood pressure. Vitals were normal.

I felt so horrible for that second hour that I really don’t want to go back, especially when the next dose will be 1.5x more.

I feel really horrible about not doing it because I should be grateful to have access to this medication for free (insurance pays for 100%) when many people can’t afford it or get it covered

Also during the session I had this bad fear I was gonna die, I couldn’t feel my body while I was super nauseated and thought I was gonna throw up and aspirate. There was no button or anything to ask the doctor to come in, I was in a pitch black room out of 6 rooms that were full.

Using “shift pick up” apps as a new CNA

Hi guys, I’m not sure if any of you have heard of these apps. However, they basically let you pick up shifts at random facilities as a 1099 contractor. I would really like to try this out, as it would help navigate around my college schedule. However, I haven’t actually worked as a CNA except for my clinical training

I’m pretty sure these do not provide training and expect that you know what you’re doing, so does it seem like a bad idea to book a shift using one of these platforms? I haven’t actually done like a bed bath, for example, or a shower because my clinicals were in the evening

“Health Sync” App

Hey guys,

Does anyone have a link to the correct health sync app for iOS? There are multiple and I don’t want to use the wrong one.

[19, college student, hospital cna, usa]

Hi there guys,

I'm looking for some advice on my resume. I'm a 19-year-old, about to be 20 this month. I recently took a nursing assistant program and got my certification, and I'm looking to get a job as a CNA in a hospital here in California.

However, I do know that most hospitals ask for healthcare experience. They say they prefer about six months. Some of them even ask for two years for the positions. I'm not really sure what I can do to maximize my odds of getting this job. I'm not sure if there are any revisions I can make to my resume to increase my chances.

I do have three references on there. One of the issues I think might stand out to a recruiter is two things:
- The short amount of time I've spent at jobs and gaps. This is due to some unfortunate mental health issues I've experienced that have kind of inhibited me from working; however, I am ready to start working right now.

Also, the server position was at an assisted living facility however I doubt that counts as healthcare expensive despite doing some healthcare related tasks.

Really weird sounding "burps" 5 days post botox

I have been burping all day since 2 days after injection. the burps taste like bile/stomach acid/vomit and are very uncomfortable. I have no control over them, I'm scared to talk to people because of this. idk what to do :( this is without any trigger foods/drinks. idk where all the gas is coming from!!

it sounds like there's a demon inside me lol
