How do i get this out???

So far I stuck a small screwdriver into a hole of the handle and it came right off, I can't even put it back on so now I've committed... can't twist the plate off either nor does it pry off with a flathead.

Can't figure out how to remove rose of door handle

Can't quite figure out how to remove the rose from this door handle.. I have no idea what brand it is (I just moved in) and the rose does not twist off, nor have any slots to put a flathead in and pry off the rose.

Any suggestions on how to get this thing off???
