Brits that watch SNL US, how often do you not understand a sketch?

Curious because there have been a bunch of sketches that I don’t understand because they’re purely British culture, especially the finale episode (Louis Theroux, Martin Lewis, whatever that big ass doll short was). Nothing wrong with that of course! I’m just curious if it’s the same for non-Americans watching our version.

If you’re in NYC, you MUST see Cats The Jellicle Ball!!

So I knew Renny was inspired by ballroom and dance music but I didn’t have *an education* on it and baby I got one!!!! And now Renaissance is even better. I understand it on a new level. And there’s even a lil shoutout to the album at the start.

I watched a little bit of Paris is Burning (a must watch to understand Bey’s inspo for this album!) and read a bit about ballroom before the show.

The entire show is a fucking PARRRRRTTTTYYYY.

And if you have a Bey fan, bring that shit!!!! They hand out fans to the first 50 people and sell them there also.

It just felt like being at the Renny tour again in terms of the audience and how beautifully accepting it was.

Love yall 🤍 go see this show!

Submitted this to the Disney Voice Acting open call and would love feedback!

It was for animation voice acting so I was trying to play into that sound. My vibrato was weird here idk why!

I don’t want to disclose details so I don’t doxx myself, but I was turned away for having prescribed medicine on me. It was in a general pillbox and not the original bottles. I was told to throw them away or leave and that I could only bring them in if I had the original prescription bottles.

The club’s site does not mention these policies ANYWHERE. it doesn’t say what you can and cannot bring in, and it does not mention that you can bring prescribed medication in if you have the original bottle.

To me, this feels incredibly discriminatory against disabled/ill folk and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar?

I also want to add that I 100% understand why this policy exists, but that there needs to be clear ways to regulate the situation so people aren’t being told their only options are to throw their meds away or leave.
