How many of you that got accepted held a leadership title in a club?
Whether its vice, secretary, president
Whether its vice, secretary, president
I'm aiming for 1500+. How do I get there?
How many courses a day should I do on Khan Academy. I find everything so confusing.
I sucked balls at the math module 2.
This is going to be super long.
I'm a begginer and suck so please don't be mean to me but advice regarding how i interpret or practice would be very much appreciated.
I’m trying to build a strong CV for university. My main goal is to secure a wealthy, successful future, but I'm torn between two clubs I joined this year( if you look at it broadly this doesn't even matter but still) and have to choose one FAST.
club 1: prestigious, consistent, more projects, rich kids but cliquey. I did 65% of the HR work this year but got passed over due to favoritism. I really wanted this to be my "home" since I switched schools a lot, so the rejection hurts. If I stay, I'll just be a normal member and never hold a title, not even a small one.
club 2: smaller club (5 meetings all year, president MIA since March). I could hold a title like Secretary or Vice more easy here that maybe would have mlre impact on the CV but the club isn't that popular and it could all go to the drain.
I didnt adapt well in either.
My interpretation( i usually just look at the pictures and try to connect things) :
I did a Horseshoe Spread because Gemini told me so. I feel like listening to an AI about my interpretation is wrong so here I am.
Help me decide please. I feel like from an outside perspective this seems like I'm stressing so much over nothing but maybe theres a broader picture I am not seeing.
Card 1: The Past (8 of Spades)
A woman tied and blindfolded. I realized my whole life I switched schools and never stayed more than 2 years anywhere. I wanted so badly for club 1 to be the place where I finally rooted down, fit in, and made long-term high school memories. I feel trapped by that expectation.
Card 2: The Present (The Sun)
Honestly not sure here. Maybe I'm not shining the way I should be in either of the clubs?
Card 3: Hidden Factors (4 of Spades)
Someone sleeping/dead. I think I'm waiting for things to happen instead of taking action into my own hands.
Card 4: Core Attitude (Ace of Pentacles)
Money, prestige, proving everyone wrong. This is my fuel and the reason why I stress so much. I feel like this decision dictates my future and I cant seem to get it out of my head.
Card 5: Environment (The World)
I need a big social circle and connections to thrive( leo mars hehe). The people around me are supposed to help me expand, but right now it feels like neither do that?
Card 6: Best Course of Action (Strength REVERSED) If it was upright, I'd say be assertive, strong, direct but I'm not good at reversed cards.
Card 7: Likely Outcome (The Emperor REVERSED) Double fuck. Upright would mean being powerful and successful.
Seeing the last two reversed makes me feel bad. Those were the most important ones and I could have gotten an answer so straight forward but I'm still lost.
Heyyy
I’m currently trying to build a strong profile for competitive international schools (specifically targeting places like IE University, Bocconi, etc. for Law or Finance).
I’m currently involved in both Interact by Rotary and LEO by Lions, but I can only stay in one. I did both in paralell for my freshman year because I wanted to figure it out first and now I have to decide. I’m stuck between the two and need advice on what actually looks better on a CV:
Interact: It’s more prestigious and highly active/consistent. They do projects monthly and the kids there are rich with connections, accepted into international schools etc. The issue? It’s incredibly cliquey. The board is chosen based on friendships pretty much, so getting an executive role is unlikely. I worked my ass off doing 65% of the work for HR and didn't win the election regarding director of department. I thought the girl who won would at least name me vice like everyone else did but instead she named her friend which I cant even recall ever working this year. I can stay, but I’d probably never reach a top role.
The LEO Club: They had like 5 meetings and 3 projects all year, and the president has been MIA for months. However, here, I actually have the chance to occupy a spot in the board and help with running the club, reaching a higher goal.
Does a high-tier university care more about the prestigious Interact name? Should I stay in Interact and work from the shadows or some sort, nevee actually reaching a title? Or does "President" at a LEO club beat it?
Would love to hear from anyone who got into top European/International schools or knows how admissions officers view this shit.
I m very scared about this process already and have been worrying so much lately.
