Hey y'all, looking to see what would be a good price for this Peavey Bass Mark IV?

I saw this at a pawn and tested it out. It's fully functional and working. It has some cosmetic flaws, but nothing too bad. They're asking $300 and will go down to $250, since they just got it and won't negotiate any more.

I'm working about 3 hours away from my area and wondering if I should take it, or leave it to chance and wait a few till it goes down lower.

I don't NEED IT...but man, that would be cool AF in the corner of my studio to shake the walls.

Any opinions on this set up? Good price? As always, any response is always appreciated, thanks in advance!

So I posted a while ago about an Orange Micro Terror I got for $50 a while ago and you guys helped out a bunch, but several comments mentioned the Micro Dark and the effects loop. So I got curious about the Micro Dark.

...not $199 curious, but $100 curious? Yeah. I found a listing for a Micro Dark and a Bugera T5 Infinium for $200, I said why not?!

The FB Marketplace seller was an older gentleman who took amazing care of his equipment. They both look barely used. So it was an easy pick.

I was planning on making a 1x12 for the Micro Terror, but I also came about a Peavey VSS 20. A mini stack solid state stereo amp with 2 1x10 cabs. The thing was cute and I took it home. I'm currently upgrading the speakers with Celestion Greenbacks. Going 1 cab at a time, but hopefully I'll be done by the end of the month.

I purchased this for $130 at a pawn while working away from my area. I tried doing some research or review on it and I didn't really find anything. So I'm looking to the Cvlt for any info written in the archives and scrolls!

It's not in the best condition, but man...this think is cute as hell!

I recently bought an Orange Micro Terror and was looking for a small cab, but I might have stumbled on something good? If not, I can replace the speakers.

Do y'all have any insight on this little stack? I not getting home till late and won't have a chance to blast thing till tomorrow. It does work, I just couldn't really test it as they had a guitar with 2 strings...so I just made sure it worked. 😒

Howdy y'all. So I just purchased a Korg Electribe MX from a Pawn Shop for $125. It appears to be in good condition, just dusty. I'm currently on a business trip, so no way of testing it out, other than powering it up and watching the tubes light up and the screen change when knobs are moved.

It was an impulse buy, as a friend had one way back then, and I always wanted one, and for $125, it didn't seem too bad.

I had a question though, the Electro-Harmonix 12AX7EH that's on there, is that the tube we have to replace it with, or can other brands be used...if any.

The tubes power on, but I like having extras.

Apologies if this isn't the proper sub, I Googled the product and this sub popped up a few times.

Hey Y'all, I have a Skullcandy Stomp XL I purchased going on 2 years...so no warranty. I rarely use it, and I charged it for 2 days, so it's battery is charged. I'm currently having an issue where no sound comes out of the speakers. It powers on, lights up like normal, but there is no sound.

I Googled the issue and I got the reset solution for a Stomp. Hold the + and - for 10 secs to factory reset it, but when I try it, nothing happens. I don't have an aux cord, so I could try that source. I noticed it's for a Stomp, and was unsure if the Stomp and Stomp XL share the same internals. So I visited the Skullcandy site and I can't find a Stomp XL.

According to the Skullcandy site, there is no more email support and to use the chat now option. I did and you're chatting with AI. When I asked about the Stomp XL it stated there wasn't such a product. So after going in circles with chat and troubleshooting the same steps Google gave me, it seems there isn't any sort of support if you're out of warranty. No tech support, no repair via Skullcandy, instead it responded to take it to a local repair shop.

I wanted to ask their support if they sold parts, so I could repair it myself, but as of now, there is nothing to do but look for an electronic repair shop, open it myself and look for the issue, or I'm SOL.

Any of y'all had the same issue and resolved it?

Hey y'all, so I picked up an Orange Micro Terror at a pawn for $50. It looked in good condition, just needed some love. I'm currently away from home, but heading back tomorrow. In the meantime, I wanted to order a small cab for it to travel with and also order another tube to have as a spare. It currently has a JJ, but how important is the tube on a hybrid 1 tube setup? Would adding a different brand make a difference on a small lunchbox amp?

I tried it at the shop with a home made 6x9 cab someone made and pawned. It sounded pretty bad, but I read that the small 1x8 matching cab sounds bad. Unsure how true that is, but I wanted to see if there's any small cab y'all can recommend. Also, any tubes in particular?

So $350 seemed like a good price, but the guitar itself looks untouched. Plastics on the front and back, stickers, and other than being dusty and very little rust on the pickup poles, looks new.

...and that's what somewhat worries me. Can y'all Fender experts give me a hand in determining if it's legit? I got a Fender bag, and what looks to be all the paper goods with it. I looked it up on the Fender Serial site and it appears to be legit, but I was reading that it can be faked as well.

At the end of the day, she plays great and I was in the market for a MIM guitar for my collection. I understand maybe these lower end models don't get counterfeited, so if it's fake, no big deal. I've had tons of luck on getting other bargains from Pawns that it's my time to take a loss. 🤣

Hey y'all, I posted a while back about a Peavey TNT 160 and I finally got it. Brought her home for $80. She works great and needs a cleaning, but while she's apart, I wanted to replace an EQ slider and possibly some caps and anything that's looking rough.

Do y'all have a store or website you guys order parts from? I emailed Peavey but haven't heard back from them, so I figured I'd ask the real experts. Hopefully y'all shine some light and point me in a good direction.

I recently picked up a Firefly Pure Series Telecaster off FB Marketplace for $50. I've been wanting to try one for a while, but never got around to purchasing a new one.

A few days ago this one popped on FB Marketplace and I went to see it the next day. Y'all, as soon as I saw the sparkles...I was hooked. Like a trash panda finding treasures in a dumpster, I had to have it.

The finish has a few imperfections, but nothing crazy. The stainless ball end frets, and locking tuners had me sold. She plays well, but the pots were a bit scratchy. I took her apart, gave her a polish, and now I'm thinking of adding some EMGs and replacing all the wiring or buying everything separately and installing. Either way, she's a beauty.

Hopefully, this ain't the last Firefly I purchase.

So I posted here a few days ago about a pawn find Peavey Bandit 65 Solo Series, and got a lot of good feedback. Amazing group!

So this is just an update. I cleaned it out and had plans of cleaning her up extremely well, but...I found a Peavey Classic 50 4x10 and I fell in love. It's perfect for what I'm currently recording and shifting funds over that route.

I did open the Bandit up, cleaned everything on the inside, deoxit on the pots, the whole 9, but I veered off course and got "creative on some of the external shortcomings of this Bandit. Hit it with some rattle can I had from a previous project, but...I believe she looks decent. The red pops and added some TOAN GLYPHS on the Scorpion. Cleaned the cone and all the rat poop out. Put her back together and ugh...she sounds good. The sound from these amps is crazy. So I have her close to my Valve King and TWD guitar I picked up at a pawn too. Yes, I'm a Pawn Rat. 🤣

So now the question I have for y'all.

I hear a lot of y'all talk about colored stripes. I jumped into the Peavey game when they had the Delta on amps and cabs I used for DJing. Man, I love the equipment that when I jumped back into guitars...and found this sub, I had to start collecting. I'm just not too sure about the colored stripes. Teals, Red, Silver...Google states something about years, but I believe it's a little more than that. Would it be an upgraded version of a model or a better equipped model? Say Reg Mustang to a Cobra variant?

Again, I want to start collecting and I see old Peavey's that y'all post here, at the pawns for cheap, I just don't fully understand the whole stripes thing. Any knowledge would be great! thanks in advance!

I just picked up this ol' and dusty Peavey Bandit 65 Solo Series at a pawn for 83 and change with warranty. I've read a lot of good things about the Bandits and their several iterations. I'm taking home and cleaning her up.

What are y'all thoughts on this model? I know tone is subjective, but I'm just curious. As of lately I've been recording through PC and using DSPs and IRs, but I want to get into micing up cabs and combos. So I'm starting a little collection.

I'm always in and out of pawns due to my job, so anything I should be looking for?

Was 80 and change good for this amp?
