Picked this up about 2 months ago. My #1 guitar at moment. Needed a tweat on set up, new strings. Pickups are fine!, but I use an overdrive pedal to get that extra "boost"

Got this last week and was pretty impressed for the price, got some stainless steel screws for the Floyd, musiclily tuners and topped it off with new wiring and an Invader. Tuned to drop C and i have 0 complaints, went from good enough to fantastic guitar!

I'm fairly new to electric guitars. I saw this used FF338 Pro on sale for $160 only a few miles away from my office. Never heard of Firefly before, but after seeing all the positive reviews, I decided to buy it. I'm very happy I did. I'm only a beginner, but after playing it for several hours, I don't think you can buy a better guitar for the price.

Okay so the thing is amazing the switch is really interesting it’s neck pos1; humbucker bridge pos middle; coil tapped bridge pos3.

First Floyd rose so I snapped the high e messing with understanding the fine tuners bc I thought they were locking lol. I’m an idiot.

Lastly pickups are super close and I’ve never used this Pantera Jackson style body so where I normally strum is the bridge but cool thing is now my palm is on the bridge doing trem wobbles with my palm is fun.

Hardware 9/10 tuners were meh
Neck and Inlays 10/10

As far as fireflies go, it’s a 6/10. Very large paint defect on the headstock with raw wood showing, a large paint bubble on the rear that seems to have a large bit of clearcoat over it.
The biggest defect is the Floyd posts are slightly out of alignment, the high e side is closer to the neck than the low E side. If you use the Floyd you gotta kinda tap it a few times to get it back to the correct tuning.

i have a question for anyone that has an st, just what do they mean "customized?" how and what are the customizations?

I just saw a Firefly Les Paul on GG that looks like the Jimmy Page signature model. I already have a factory relic Gibson CS Historic 1960 Les Paul, but I’m a big Page/Zep fan and think it would be very cool to have an inexpensive LP that I wouldn’t have to worry about as much.

Anyway, I was wondering if anybody here has this guitar, and do you like it? It looks fantastic from the photos, but I couldn’t find any YouTube videos of this one. I still REALLY want a John 5 Tele, but this LP has me distracted in the meantime since the other one isn’t available right now. 🤣

Gutted all the stock electronics and replaced with EMG passives with solderless wiring kit. Ready to string, tune and see the difference

Hey! I didn’t even know that Firefly has released a John 5 Ghost Tele in the past. Does anyone have this one? If so, do you like it? And most importantly, do you think they’ll have more in stock at some point? 🤞 I have always loved this guitar and John 5’s playing too. Man! I want this, lol.

Hey all! This is my first Firefly, and honestly my first guitar I’ve ever had shipped. I recorded the unboxing and noted some imperfections throughout. My question is, where in y’all’s opinion is the boundary of picking apart the imperfections that don’t affect playability, and simply admitting it’s a sub $300 guitar? Overall it’s a beautiful guitar and I’m happy with it. I think I just don’t want to overthink it if is really just the expectation.

The Firefly Snow Horse next to my Epiphone Explorer Goth I got around 20 years ago.

Im trying to decide between these two 338s, they are both "338 pros" besides the colors and fretboard inlays the only difference I see in the description is the red burl says customs alinco pick ups and rosewood fretboard, does anybody hear have both these guitars by chance or have any feedback on the differences or lack of ? Thanks dewwwds

Hi everybody. I’ve been lurking here for a while now, and have been watching tons of great YouTube videos about Firefly too. I finally ordered an FFLX from Amazon a few days ago and just got it today. I also ordered a Mad Cat tele a couple of days ago from Guitar Gardens but don’t have it yet.

Anyway! This Explorer style guitar is amazing. The fret work is impeccable… no dead spots or buzzing anywhere and perfectly rolled edges along the entire fretboard. The intonation was perfect out of the box too, and the action is super low! It plays as well as my 1960 Gibson Les Paul Historic, which kind of shocked me. I also planned to replace the pickups after I got this guitar, but they sound great!!! The tuners keep it in tune very well too. The finish and binding are flawless, along with the inlays, hardware, and everything else. I’ve played $2000+ guitars before that didn’t play this well off the rack (or even after a setup). And aesthetically it is ridiculously nice too. Oh, and it feels like it probably weighs around 8-9 pounds. Not too heavy at all but not super light either.

This looks, feels, and plays like a very high end guitar!!! I’m hooked on Firefly, lol. I’ve also been on a PRS SE kick lately, and this plays and sounds every bit as good as those. Now I can’t wait to get my Firefly Prince telecaster, haha.

I have a custom shop Gibson and several higher end Fenders, but I’m loving all of these guitars just as much or more than any of them. I play my Sterling Albert Lee guitar and PRS SE NF3 way more than any of my Fender Strats. And now I’m beyond happy to have this Explorer too! And the photos don’t even do it justice. It’s even nicer in person.

For $219 with free shipping on Amazon, this honestly doesn’t even make any sense!!! It’s a CRAZY good deal! It also sounds 🔥 with my TONEX amp pedal and Headrush Go. Holy crap!!!
