I have been waiting since 9/24 for my FFSP Page style to ship. They finally sent me an OnTrac (yay...) tracking number on the 28th and nothing. What's up with this? BTW, 5th order, so not new to this. OnTrac is notoriously shit though.
Hey everyone! First post here.
I received a 7002C2E as a gift in May. Everything went together pretty easily. After my initial burn in, i noticed wild pellet consumption, even at the lowest settings. I assumed it was a break in situation and everything would even out. It didn't.
I noticed my smoker was billowing smoke out of the lid when I had it running. I assumed the lid was damaged up so I bought a Lava Lock gasket. It didn't work. I tried to bend the lid back in place... no go. Adjusted the hinges. No go.
I finally got in contact with Z Grills May 13th and asked for a replacement lid. After receiving the new lid, I realized... it wasn't the lid. The lid i received was pristine. No damage to the box, not even a scuff. Still have smoke billowing out!!! I looked a heck of a lot more closely than I did the first time (bad eyes) and low and behold.. the body is totally out of round. There are no paint flaws and the box wasn't damaged soo.. I'm going to assume this happened during the manufacturing process. I may be wrong because FedEx is absolute trash.
Fast forward to June 13th:
Z Grills offered to send me a replacement body, no hassle as per usual. They then told me that they were out of stock on the bodg and would likely have them in a week. That was June 13th. I have not heard anything from them since then.
Would I be wrong in asking for a refund at this point??? I wanted to have this thing up and running properly for a 4th of July party I am hosting and I don't see that in my future. I understand I would be past the time frame for a return but the issue was noted prior to the return period expiring.
Let me know your thoughts!
I am realllllllly thirsting for this thing and I don't know why. In fact, I don't know if they will ever be in stock again. But I really want one.
To those who own one... talk me out of it haha...there is one on reverb for $450 and I'm really considering it
