Upon doing research on a play by Henrik Ibsen, I read that “Danse Macabre” by Camille de Saint-Saens was not well received in its time because the listeners complained it gave them extreme anxiety. I was wandering if you could recommend music that is anxiety-inducing, either in the sense of Saint-Saens’ piece or for other reasons. Thank you in advance!

I was wondering if you could give me some suggestions for music that’s anxiety-inducing. For reference, I mean things like Blanck Mass, Venetian Snares or some of the heavier stuff by Gesaffelstein or Ben Frost. Thank you!!
