Run clubs near Charlestown

Howdy, I've been looking for run clubs near the Charlestown/East Cambridge/South Somerville area. I know there are some previous posts, but thought I'd make a new one for a 2026 update!

From googling, I can see there's a somerville run club, davis square one... any others I'm missing?

For context I'm not a fast/competitive runner, but have always enjoyed running with people. I'm in my late 30s now so also not looking for one centered around alcohol... though if there is one, I might still check it out, lol

Crossbody slings/bags like the Patagonia Atom

I'm a huge fan of bags that are shaped like the Patagonia Atom, Alpaka Metro Crossbody, Osprey Daylite Sling, etc.

Are there any other good bags that would make for good travel slings? Every one I've seen isn't quite perfect (I mean this is manybaggers, we're all looking for a better bag lol), but I used to use an older version of https://www.eddiebauer.com/products/ripstop-sling-pack-ebb1007?variant=43096049614915, and now looking for other options.

I like having that slightly more carrying capacity, plus IMO better looks compared to the standard boxier slings like the Rework Toshi (which is probably my top choice if I can't find a better option).

But every option has a minor thing I dislike about it, either comfort, or pocket accessibility when I swing it to the front, or organization, etc.

I also don't know exactly what you call this style of bag, in my head I've been calling it a half backpack, but I haven't seen anybody else call it that lol

Suggestions for travel sling

Hey all, visiting Europe in a couple months. Looking for travel sling recommendations. I usually carry a 1.5L sling (standard offbrand crossbody) for phone/wallet/keys (pocket relief), sunglasses, chapstick, sunscreen. However, going a longer trip, I feel I'm going to want to carry a phone charger, perhaps water bottle (still undecided), backup cash/card as appropriate, and perhaps room for room for small souvenirs (trinket, museum fliers, etc, nothing fancy).

I have a alpaka metro crossbody that I use for flying, and that's my current plan, but I feel it's perhaps a tad too big for a sling. Plus, I feel it might make me stand out to pickpockets. I generally like the more vertical look, but the fanny pack look is fine as well. Any suggestions for something that is in the middle of those two would be great!
