Just got a Coral Bark at a nursery for half off because it was in tough shape from damage.

I have high hopes I can bring it back for my new home. It was still expensive even with half off but I’m posting here for any advice on bringing it back. Has some solid new growth. I’m excited for the project. These pictures are after a heavy trim of dead branch ends. Any advice is appreciated. Take it easy on me if you think it was a dumb purchase.

My parent’s neighbor has beautiful Limelight Hydrangeas and she gave me some cuttings for the house I’m closing on next month.

Any pointers? This setup look okay? It’s in the shade. I can take off the bags if that will be beneficial I just kind of threw them on. Trying to root by the time I get into the house so I can raise them on the porch and then plant before fall. Used rooting hormone and snipped bigger leaves in half.

I planted these for my parent’s house last year. Tough time waking up.

My dad is worried that they’re in bad shape but I keep assuring him they’ll be in better shape next year. He spent a lot of money on the variety, so I understand his frustration…is this normal on year 2 after a horrific winter in 6b?

A dead branch at the very top of my seeded maple. Do I just chop the top dead piece off? I’d hate to make it short forever lol. I’m new at these.

My niece and I put this in a little pot from the big one outside our apartment building. Just trying to keep it healthy until she can put it at my brother’s first house down the line.

I plucked a leaf of this of a plant I saw in college one day years ago. I’m restarting it with cuttings for my new house.

It was getting a little gangly. Any ideas what it is? Feels like a Christmas cactus kind of so I’m sure it’s a relative, but definitely not one of those.

Is this enough space for a few Rose bushes?

I bought a new house and I’m trying to plan my plants. I like the idea of a variety like Parade Day. My dad says it would be silly to get rid of the walkway to make space for roses. Can I still fit them?

Basement Enclosures?

I bought a new house and have a partially finished basement. Could I put a tortoise in the finished part? There is a dehumidifier in there. Not sure if that would be an issue cause I know humidity is important. I won’t be buying it for a while, just wanted to ask first.
