From barely there to a foot tall in 2 days: Ostrich Fern Style

Ordered some Matteuccia struthiopteris bare roots and got them planted on May 1st. Virtually no movement for almost 2 weeks. Took the first photo then on May 17th and second just 2 days later, today, on the 19th. Went from just starting out to almost a foot tall in 2 days! I read Ostrich ferns were vigorous, but I was not expecting anything like this from bare root!

Anyone else have native plants going through a massive growth spurt?

Warning about Fox Pest Control in Ames

Fox Pest Control is doing door to door sales in Ames. They do not leave when told and they use the public data to use neighbor's names to try to gain trust and act like they have been hired to do work "for the neighborhood." I had to tell them repeatedly to leave my property before they finally left. You can call the City of Ames Clerk's office to submit a complaint to get their solicitor's permit revoked. You can call the main line to the city and select option 6 for City Clerk's office. Ask to submit a complaint about a company doing door to door sales.
