Sex before marriage

Hi, I’m 19 year old female and I am not a virgin. I am not married and the person whom I was with turned out to be a horrible person.

I feel disgusting and shameful. I do not think that I can ever marry someone as I have already lost my virginity. It makes me sad to death as I don’t want to be alone forever, but I’m not sure either if I’d want to be with someone again when I have already.

I need advice on how to move forward and to understand what my situation really is, but I am also afraid to even enter liturgy. I am not baptised orthodox but was baptised in an evangelical church as a baby. Next Sunday I have the opportunity to attend my first liturgy after finally finding an orthodox gathering in my area, but I do not feel like I’m going to fit in at all and I’m very scared.

Please if anyone has advice on what to do with your life when you have already wasted it, on someone who I could never spend the rest of my life with, and what I should do about the gathering?

Thank you for reading.

How can I make friends?

Hi, I'm from Europe and I have no friends or family. When I ask people online “how do I make friends?” they always tell me at school, work, niche social events, etc. But I live in a small city that doesn’t have clubs or fitting events. I do online classes and am unemployed.

As I kid I was very unattractive, bullied, and due to family problems I was isolated from any human interaction for all my teenage years. I have no idea what people do or say when they talk to each other. I cant enjoy the humour of “normal people” because of being on the internet for too long. Everyone seems so dull and boring. I could never relate to them. Neither would they relate to me and just find me strange I’m sure.

I very often get approached when I go outside by women complimenting me, but it never leads to friendship. Either I’m very startled and havent “prepared my voice” so my thank you comes out very quiet and awkward, I forget to compliment them back, or they walk away before I can even answer. I'm not even sure if I'm supposed to make friends in such moments? I dont know anything.

And me approaching others is basically impossible.
Does anyone have any tips?

Im missing out on good stories

Hi, I am a new user so please forgive me if I do anything wrong. English is not my first language.

I have a problem. I feel as if my lack of understanding is ruining my experience with book reading. I read through them not really knowing whats going on except for the general plot. I wish I could emerge myself into the stories, see the beauty of my books, and be able to critique them after. I think the issue might be a small vocabulary. I don’t understand almost every descriptive word as I highlighted in my picture. I understand kind of what they mean because of context clues and just read through it anyways, but I feel like it’s making me not retain, visualise or emerge myself into the story.

Am I really meant to stop my reading at every sentence, take up my phone and find the definition? And if so, will I really remember the definition until the next time the word shows up in a book? I cant think of any effective ways to grow my vocabulary in a way that makes reading more accessible to me. There are so many specific words and what are the odds I learn the ones who will show up in my books?

How long should it take for me to be able to read through such a simple fictional book like this one without having to pause and google stuff? Is there something wrong with me? Please if anyone has any tips or explanations let me know. Thank you for reading.
