Ancestry says my Dads 44% Central Scotland Northern Ireland, 44% Munster Ireland, 10% Devon Somerset, 2% Sweden. We know that his Mothers family ‘father, mother and prior’ are buried at the cemetery in Leadville Co. we know they immigrated from Ireland to work in the silver mines sometime in the 1800’s. We are just learning about his father but it seems to be a similar migration. Is there a connection between his parents that would indicate a similar family history? I was raised in a small mining town in Colorado, I worked at a coal mine and had a child with a local miners daughter. Evidently Central Scotland became my son’s #1 region even more than me. Is this all related to the environment I was raised in or is this all just Coincidence. Does this mean Im Scottish and Irish? We have only uncovered Irish connections so far.
