Hey everyone,

I'm a second-year BBA student at a tier-2 government college. I've completed two internships so far, and recently decided to prepare for SSC CGL.

I have around two years before I'm eligible for SSC CGL, so I want to use this time properly. After graduation, I'll most likely work a corporate job while continuing my preparation until I clear an exam.

My biggest problem isn't just time management. College takes up most of my day, I'm planning to join a gym, and I also have to manage cooking, cleaning, and other daily chores. The bigger issue is that I have no clarity on how to start. I know the syllabus, but every time I decide to begin, I end up watching videos or reading about posts, cut-offs, salaries, and strategies instead of actually studying. I've been stuck in this loop for months, and I finally want to get serious.

I also don't want to buy a paid course because I know there are plenty of free resources available. I just don't know which ones are actually worth following.

I would really appreciate some advice on:

\- If you had 2 years and were starting from scratch, what would your roadmap look like?

\- Which free resources actually helped you?

\- Which books are a must?

\- Besides SSC CGL, which other exams should I target with a similar syllabus?

\- What's one mistake beginners make that I should avoid?

Hi everyone,

I'm a 2nd BBA student, so I have around 2 years before my first attempt at SSC CGL 2028. I'm starting completely from scratch.

The subject that's overwhelming me the most is GK/GS. I bought a thick one-liner GK book, thinking it would be the easiest way to prepare. But when I opened it, I realized it has everything—History, Geography, Polity, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and so much more. It honestly feels like I'm looking at everything I've studied from middle school to Class 12 packed into one book.

Now I'm confused. Am I actually supposed to memorize everything in that book? Or are there specific topics in each subject that are more important for SSC CGL?

How did you guys prepare GK/GS when you started? Did you follow one book, YouTube, notes, or something else? I'd really appreciate a beginner-friendly roadmap because this is the one section that's making me feel stuck before I've even started.
