REVX Carbon - Head and Neck Restraint with 3 point street seatbelts

Hi, I was looking at getting a Simpson hybrid S for the added layer of protection with my stock seatbelts. I'm not looking to implement the full HANS safety system as I want to keep some daily drivability with the car (981 cayman).

I saw someone mentioned REVX Carbon - Head and Neck Restraint as a cheaper alternative to the Simpson hybrid S.

I was wondering if anyone also uses this with street seatbelts? Is it easy to fit and comfortable in stock seats? Reading the product's description, I can't quite tell whether it is intended to work with 3-point stock seatbelts or more for harnesses.

Thank you!

Unpausing vs remaking profile after 2 years paused?

I paused my hinge profile for two years and I'm taking a peek again now. Is it better to unpause and update or just delete and remake?

I've redownloaded the app and unpaused/updated pics/prompts for now, and noticed likes seem to be very slow, but it's only been about 1.5 days so far. So I'm wondering if the better way would have been to just delete and remake my account.

Thanks!

Does the 981 Cayman GTS have a "dead zone" for the brake pedal pressure?

Hey all, I recently noticed (or maybe it's always been there and I'm crazy) that for my 2015 cayman, the first 15-25%ish of the brake pedal is very soft, then it starts to firm up and slow the car down.

Doing some searching online, I'm having trouble determining if this is some intended behavior, or a symptom of a spongy pedal or something.

To test it so far, I did these things:

  • Left the car turned off, and pumped the pedal down -> I heard a hiss -> pedal stiffened like a rock for pump attempts after (I could still wiggle it down a little bit)
  • Turned the engine on, left it in park, and pumped the pedal ~4 times -> at the last pump, I think I felt more resistance earlier on. The pedal didn't seem to sink to the ground.

I have an upcoming track day this saturday, and I'm a bit concerned that this dead zone + the 2nd bullet point indicates an issue with the brake fluid.

Or is this normal? Thanks!

Hi, I bought these used tires (came with the wheels) and I'm having a feeling that they might be cooked. I'm a noobie, so a bit unfamiliar, but I was told by my instructor that there's about 1 day left on them. Being a noobie too, I'm a bit concerned that they aren't safe to drive on (the track is also some distance away, I'll be driving the car on these tires there).

From the pics, any way to tell the current state and if I should try to get tires last minute?
