Overenthusiastic fockea

My fockea edulis decided to climb the central heating pipe this summer. It did this a few years ago, and I simply snipped off the new growth (yes, it was brutal). I don't want to do that now, but obviously I need to relocate this branch somehow...any tips?

Hi all.

I'm new here, and have been reading and going through all the info slowly. Thankful for this sub already!

tl/dr: Crazy lint, only change is adding new Persil?

Bought some new detergent. Persil Sensitive Deep Clean, the Henkel verion, so it has: OBA, amylase, cellulase, lipase, mannanase, protease.

For the past month I've been using this on my main 40c wash. We are a small household with not much stuff, so I wash my main wash once a week: underwear, towels, colored cotton and mixed fibers (jeans, t-shirts).

Now, I have a new problem since adding the Persil, which is my black cotton stuff come out of the wash completely covered in some sort of lint. Non cotton blacks are clear (my uniqlo airism underwear for example). Light/medium colored, also clear. My towels fall under that category.

I have been hand dosing the Persil, since I have a self-dosing Siemens front loader, which is still filled with my old Robijn detergent. But I'm very conservative with the dose and I don't see any suds (but the Siemens also doesn't use much water...)

I tried extra rinses and an anti-scrud wash with citric acid on machine cleansing cycle.

Delicates and short 40c washes with sports clothes come out fine. Both don't use Persil.

I'm at a loss since I've never had this problem, been washing my towels and clothes together for 20 years, so I'm not convinced it's the towels. Is it the Persil?

  • Siemens front loader
  • cotton 40c wash cycle 3,5 hours
  • extra rinse after v1negar rinse
  • airdry
  • water 10 dH, pretty hard

Edit: trying to add pics but Reddit won't let me? Does this work:

Italy: what to get at Tigotá and Caddy's?

Any nice drugstore surprises here? Cute travel sizes?

Bonus points for fragrance free and/or curly hair stuff 👍 🙏
