Jagged edges

I’ve been doing my nails for several years now and seem to be getting pretty good at a lot of the common mistakes.

The one issue I keep having is jagged, looking edges as they grow out. Any time I use a toothpick or cuticle stick to try to even it out during application I feel like it just leaves a big gap between my cuticle and the color making it look like it’s already grown out. Is that the only fix for jagged edges like this? Is it a prep issue? Anything else? All tips and tricks appreciate!

I Need a Mai Thai!

Anyone know where I can get orgeat to make homemade Mai Thais? I know I can get it on Amazon but I’d prefer to find it locally. And looking for decent stuff not just sugar water. Cheers!
