Anybody else having authentication issues with 153.0.2?

After updating, I started getting a series of authentication failures. Even went as far as removing my Gmail account and trying to reinstall it, but still getting issued

Running Thunderbird 153.0.2 on Fedora 44 KDE Plasma edition

This right here has sold me on openSUSE for good

A searchable journald log, with category filters, built into YaST. Combined with a persistent systemd journal, this feels so refreshing

This meme is almost 10 years old, and it’s very applicable to the antiAI thing

I love Linux's error handling and the actual useful information you get

dstein@localhost:~$ sudo zypper dup
[sudo] password for dstein:

management application using PackageKit running.
We can ask PackageKit to interrupt the current action as soon as possible, but it depends on
PackageKit how fast it will respond to this request.
Ask PackageKit to quit? [yes/no] (no): y
PackageKit is still running (probably busy).
Try again? [yes/no] (no): no
System management is locked by the application with pid 4037 (/usr/libexec/packagekitd).
Close this application before trying again.

Fedora 44 + SDDM + YubiKey FIDO2 PIN works in TTY and sudo, but not graphical login

I’ve spent the last three hours troubleshooting this, and it’s driving me crazy. The desired behavior is that I should be able to use a YubiKey 5C NFC to authenticate for SDDM and sudo. Once I load the relevant PAM modules and configure the .conf files, the expected behavior is that SDDM should prompt me to enter my PIN, touch the security key, then enter my password

That workflow works flawlessly when logging in to a TTY or authenticating with sudo. However, when signing in via SDDM I enter my password and tap the security key when it starts blinking and… nothing happens. I’m never prompted for the PIN and my login attempt fails

Has anybody been able to setup a FIDO2 security key for this type of use on KDE?

Am I the only one who can never sign in to LISA?

I’ve tried Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. I’ve tried Windows, Linux, and iOS. Sometimes, I can sign in with no issue. Sometimes I try to sign in and just get told “There was an error. Please try again,” only for me to get locked out after hitting too many login requests. I’ve tried resetting my password several times. It’s not a password issue, it’s a login failure issue. Has anybody else had this happen to them?

I can’t stand LISA

Every time I try and login I get “please disable your pop-up blocker” (I don’t use one) “an error occurred” (what was the error?) “your account has been temporarily locked due to authentication failure” (why, I thought you didn’t recognize any of my login attempts?)
