Seeking girl friends with similar interests & cultural connection

Hi~ I'm (30F) looking to meet other women (25-35) who are interested in any of the following:

- house music / jazz / Spanish and French music
- film (some of my favourite films: Decision to Leave, Reprise, The Great Beauty, In the Mood for Love)
- Asian beauty / makeup
- fitness (running / weight lifting, but open to trying Pilates and other classes)
- k dramas and c dramas (but my all time favourite shows would be Better Call Saul/Breaking Bad, Succession, Hannibal, Westworld)
- art (drawing and painting, but would love to learn wood working and pottery)
- books (wide range of genres)

Some context: I'm adopted and wasn't really interested in connecting with my East Asian roots growing up, and for the last 5 years I've been playing catch up and falling in love with a world that feels simultaneously familiar and foreign to me.

I'd also love to connect with other adoptees!

I work remotely in the health sector and have a background in data science/biology. Aquarius if that matters at all... Friends would describe be as open/non-judgmental, curious, analytical, and unpredictable (in a spontaneous adventure going way).

I'm based in Scarborough but travel downtown weekly to see friends and check out events. Feel free to reach out if you think we may connect :-)

Seeking friends who love: house music, film, books, fitness

Hi~ I'm (30F) based in Etobicoke (but travel downtown weekly to explore and visit friends) and hoping to meet people preferably 28-35 who are interested in any of the following:

- house music (deep, trance, techno)
- jazz (especially live, with jazz fest slowly approaching)
- film (international cinema; favourite directors: paolo sorrentino, joachim trier, park chan-wook, gaspar noé)
- fitness (running, lifting, open to trying new classes like pilates or spin)
- books (currently reading: rené magritte - selected writings)
- hiking/exploring new places

My partner is mostly into pc gaming, house music, and futbol - so apart from checking out live music events or dragging him to foreign films, we do our own thing...

A bit about me: I grew up in Scarborough, studied in Guelph/Toronto, and have been working in the health sector for the last few years. I consider myself to be very curious and open minded. I'm easy going and love meeting new people.

Would love to connect with those who enjoy the excitement of getting to know someone and seeing if they are compatible. Ideally I'd like to chat a bit and then grab a coffee/go on a walk and see if our personalities align :-)

Maintained Status SOWP

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone has experienced a similar situation and can provide some guidance.

My husband’s work permit expired end of April, 2026. Prior to its expiry, we submitted an inland spousal sponsorship application along with a SOWP application. Since the work permit expired, he has not worked and we were waiting for updates on both applications.

Today, I received a letter from IRCC stating that our spousal sponsorship application was being returned as incomplete. The only issue identified was with the IMM 5406 Additional Family Information form. We believe it was returned because the children/dependants section was left blank (now corrected to "Not Applicable") and some addresses were not listed in full (the online form said "City, Country" but we've updated the entire address now). We immediately corrected the form and resubmitted the application.

Now I'm wondering:

What happens to his status now?

Does the return of the PR application automatically affect the SOWP application that was submitted before his work permit expired?

Should we expect IRCC to eventually refuse or cancel the SOWP because the original PR application was returned as incomplete?

Should we be considering a restoration of status application or visitor record application while we wait for clarification?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
