Great game. Great Ewing Benge Giveaway. And Cohen practically paying fans to go to CitiField.

What an amazin game!
Benge and Senga continuing their hot streak.
A lively crowd for a Wednesday afternoon and love the Benge Ewing Spider-Man t-shirt swap out for Peralta Jersey—how very timely after Monday’s game.
We really made out like bandits deciding during their losing streak to buy tickets taking day off and paying only $17 on Stubhub for 300 level seats with Cohen then adding $10 stadium bonus. Plus as an Amazin Advisor Mets Connect, I received 5,000 points for attending the game, which meant a free hot dog and fries meal and a soft drink. With the other points from filling out surveys we ended up with two free meals and three drinks and used the $20 credit at the store for a Mets MLB cap at 60% off —$45 down to $20 —so free. Not to mention the ultra cool giveaway BengEwing shirts.
There’s a very nice new sale section at the Jackie Robinson Rotunda.
Go to a game. It’s fun. Mets are hot. Cohen is generous. And maybe, just maybe, the Magic is Back.

Tipping

Question about tipping as I’ve been researching after our recent four day Royal Caribbean cruise. We paid the auto gratuity, tipped generously to our room attendant as in $20 a day as well as our MDR servers and tipped baristas $2 per drink and bartenders as well even though we don’t drink and they were just grabbing us cans of Diet Coke. We leave nice comments in surveys for our servers and attendant by name in the guest survey.
However, I am bothered by some claims that Royal Caribbean uses the auto gratuity to make up for wages. If they are contractually bound to pay a certain amount and the people who are serving us are not getting over that amount with the auto gratuity, I’d prefer to withhold the auto gratuity and tip more generously so they get more money.
Please advise as we have booked a Celebrity cruise for next year. Thanks.

Peralta trade and Peralta day at Citi Field

With Peralta being traded to Rays, what happens to Peralta Jersey giveaway day on August 19th? I did inquire with Mets customer service and the nebulous answer is their promotions are subject to change and check back closer to date of game.
That’s 15,000 jerseys that Delta Airlines sponsored.
