OBSESSED with Third.

I just randomly listened to Third after I recommended Beth’s 2002 album Out of Season to a friend, and he mentioned how crazy a track Machine Gun is. I agreed, and later that day decided to listen to Third in full, having only known The Rip and Machine Gun before. I cannot stop. This may be the best album I have ever heard. Also, I hate to say it, but I feel it makes their trip-hop output sound like cheap gimmicky crap by comparison. Third deserves to be hailed as one of the most artful albums ever! It is better than any Radiohead, Sonic Youth, or Björk record, yet doesn’t enjoy anywhere near their level of acclaim and status.

[TOMT] 2010s electronic track with vaporwave-inspired CGI video

In my memory this was uploaded by Rinse FM, but I don’t know if they actually just post standalone music videos.

The video was quite vaporwave inspired, showing a weird scape of carved stone sculptures and tropical plants. I also think I remember tumbling balls, but less sure of that. The music is not vaporwave, though, it’s a pretty whimsical and eclectic track with a lot of different percussion. I remember the letter “W” in the artist’s one-word name (a nonsense word). I would’ve seen this 2016 or earlier. judging by the video I’d say it was from 2014–2016.

Odds of my epileptic brother having a completely controlled condition and healthy life?

Hello all! My 24 year old brother has focal epilepsy with seizure clusters. It’s a new diagnosis, so we’ll see about breakthroughs, but his anticonvulsants work.

My question is: is it very unlikely for epileptics to go their whole lives with the seizures successfully managed, and with no serious side effects like suicidality and cognitive fog leading to lots of experimentation with meds? Or am I kidding myself?

To be clear, I know nobody can answer questions about my brother’s condition. I just want to know if it’s at all likely that the scenario I describe plays out, or if basically every epileptic struggles with finding a stable management?

This is a song I discovered on RateYourMusic. It’s a band, from the mid to late 80s (maaaaaybe as late as 1992), and the song is called Turtle Song (to my memory). There’s a very expressive female vocalist, who sounds like she’s struggling to contain her excitement or passion. the lyrics do talk about turtles. This is not a well-known song or band, but it did have a music video, so possibly major label.
