Just got my MonsterTech chair delivered
Got this chair for free and found a MTech baseplate on Facebook for $20. Had to saw a lot off the Moza table mount, but it works lmao.

I’m somewhat new to DCS, but not flight sims. I’ve been going hard on the Kiowa and absolutely love it. If anyone is cool with letting an idiot ride in the co-pilot seat so I can learn from you that would be sick. I only play Contention and I’ve been running logistics and lazing for my buddy. None of my friends fly helis so I’ve been on my own for the most part. I just want some advice on avoiding contacts/radar and positioning. YouTube can tell me what to do not what NOT to do. Thanks.
I’m brand new to DCS I’ve been running logistics in Contention for about a week in the Huey and Chinook. I want to try getting into combat and I’m debating between the these two modules. I have never played a modern air combat game, I know basically nothing about weapons or combat. I know the Kiowa has been abandoned, my main concern here is which one you guys think I would enjoy more for combat. I’m mostly interested in being a rat and defending with AA, but Kiowa ground striking does sound fun especially working with my buddies in jets. Thanks everyone.
I think I had this unidentified chest rig or something similar as a kid. I remember it was UCP camo, it was not an airsoft rig, my dad got it from someone who was in the military and it wasn’t the cheap one airsoft one that had a holster built in. It looked similar to this. I remember it zipped and clipped in the front like this one, it had large pouches on the sides and possibly back on the back. Circa 2007-ish. Any help identifying this one or others like it would be awesome. Thanks.
Hello, I really only fly the Huey and Chinook. Im wondering if the Quest 3 hand tracking works good enough to work the CDU (and MFD) in the Chinook. I know hand tracking sucks for knobs, but I don’t really use any knobs in the Chinook. I’m using a Reverb G2 right now and am considering the upgrade. I move around every few months for work so I can’t have a huge sim set up I’m just use joystick, collective and pedals. Thanks.
Is there a panel or extra gear you’d recommend for helicopters? I have a HOTAS, collective, rudder pedals, and VR already. I’m mostly into logistics so Huey, Chinook and sometimes the Kiowa. Thanks
I’m stuck between three rudder pedals. Two used options “close” me. Winwing Skywalkers ($200) Thurstmaster TPR ($300, but 8 hours on a train), or just buying the VKB MK.V new. I like the TPRs, but I’m staying in company housing and eventually I will have to ship all this home for the winter. The VKB seems hard to use with a large center stick (Moza AB9). Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
I’m wanting to pick up a collective and I’m curious if anyone is selling one. The K-51 seems to have gone up in price, the 3D printed market seems to be completely dry, and Virpil is out of my budget. Any recommendations or anyone wanting to let one go? Thanks.
Does anyone use the AB9 backwards like this? My theory is to use the table clamp to mount the base on the bottom of a chair for a center stick. I just bought this second hand and haven’t played a game on it because I don’t have rudders or a collective yet, but I’m wanting to start building the chassis while that stuff ships. I see there’s some reverse axis functions in the pit house, but I’m wondering if some of the effects won’t work. Planning to use it for DCS. Thanks
This new system developed by Cal (the creator of Heli Flight School) is going to put all other arsenals to shame. Create a load out in literal seconds. No more one man army kits (unless you want it that way in your server). Cal has put hundreds of hours and tens of thousands of lines of code developing this system. Come check it out and get updates in the discord.
Anyone use one of these or others from the company? I really only ever fly helicopters and I want a true collective. I’m having a had time finding reviews or anyone with one. Thanks
I’m looking for a guitar that handles switching tunings well. I can only take one guitar with me to work and I really like to play Hill Country, Blues and Metal so I switch between standard, open tunings and dropped a bit. So I’d like recommendations on a guitar that you guys would recommend for those two styles if you had to pick one. Thanks.
