He was presented with the Spotlight Award at the Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) Greater Los Angeles Chapter at their annual Cures on the Horizon Gala on October 10, 2026, at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. JC presented him the award, and there's a short video clip on Instagram in the stories for the LA Chapter of Breakthrough T1D.

Last night there was a joint birthday party for Eric Podwall and JC in Los Angeles. It was called the Centennial Party as they both turned 50 recently. Lance, Chris, Michael, and Paris Hilton were in attendance. Chris sang a bit of Tearin' Up My Heart with JC and Bryce Alakai. There were a lot of videos so I compiled and posted them on my IG. I'd post them here, but was not sure of media limits and really how it works to post here because I'm not on Reddit much.
