How many of you watched JC & Justin on the Mickey Mouse Club? (Along with Britney, Christina, Ryan, Keri…among others) I saw and met JC at a concert MMC did in Cleveland in 1993. I had the biggest crush on him when he joined the show. My mom and her friend got to meet JC’s mom (and another member’s mom) at the flower shop while they waited on us. There were over 5,000 people at the concert the day I went. I also saw 3 tapings in Florida.

Going through some archives I found this from my time at a media outlet in 2001 when they were the 1st to perform at the new Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. I was limited to just a couple songs before having to leave.

I think where I would give it to the Backstreet Boys is that they had a longer career where they expanded into more genres with the release of Never Gone, This is Us, Unbreakable, etc but they were much less popular so those great records don't get the same shine as other records. I do think the debate is fun, but at the same time I think that entire generation of pop music should be treated as a great generation that we all grew up with.

I was exploring on YouTube, when I found this recent cover of "Tearin' Up My Heart" by this new cover band called *NSTINK. I thought that sounded hilarious, so I watched it. The funniest part is that they actually sounded decent lol. Check it out if you haven't already!
