Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing Coordination Doc

This forum has always been a wealth of knowledge on tips and tricks to increase workflow.

I am a new Electrical Engineer at a small MEP firm. Most of our projects are done in AutoCad and the new engineers are the only ones using Revit.

I want to make a document/excel sheet that will auto-update when its changed, potentially checks for errors, and will flag or highlight when information has been changed.

Our current coordination system is walking to the other person's cubicle and asking for a cutsheet. Asking if the item will need a DC furnished by us or will it come with the equipment. Its tedious and when the information changes, if its not communicated, it can often lead to addendums or bulletins.

Please help!

Here's a long shot.

I am currently stuck in Wabash, In and i believe my car is experiencing a sensor failure. Any mobile mechanics that can help me diagnose and potentially solve this issue?

I have been waiting on AAA for hours and I am from out of town. Any help would be appreciated

Philosophy Club

I used to be in a philosophy club at my old college out of state. Its been years, but I'd love getting together and discussing various topics in the world from a philosophical viewpoint.

Also open to reading books or discussing the philosophy of movies, music or games.

If there is anything like this already, let me know! If not, let's create one.

Electrical Panel Names

I am a beginner in the MEP field, electrical engineering side. And i realized theres alot of wisdom i miss out on because I dont think to ask.

What are your naming conventions for Power Distribution?

Example: PP (power panel) is 480/277 or LP( 480/277) but we use it less since lights are LED now.

Also my mentor told me how if PP-A was feeding 3 RPs. He might name the RPs AA, AB, AC to signify that they are a subset of A.

Do yall have any other conventional wisdom or tips like this?

Just did my first complete one line and power distribution and it was such a fun crash course putting everything ive learned together
