Created a tool to help me figure out charging

So I use the EVIQO as my LV2 at home and was a little bummed to find out that you can't charge to a certain SOC option. Yes, I realize I should've done a little more research, but I was excited, and it seemed to be highly recommended. I didn't know what I didn't know at the time.

I know that isn't a big concern with the Ariyas (charging to only 80%), but I didn't want to guesstimate my charging. I used Claude AI to build a charging calculator and cost tracker because the EVIQO app kind of sucks. I was plugging in at 10 pm and letting it ride until 5:30 am.

I'm certainly no expert or anything, but I'm pretty happy with the results. I downloaded data from ABRP to help build the tool, and, of course, I added some other info to get the final result.

I am posting this because I am sure there are other people looking for little tips and tricks to maximize charging.

If I can do this, then you probably can too! If you have any questions, I will do my best to answer them. For reference, I bought my Ariya at the end of March; it is my first EV, and I'm still learning a lot about being an EV owner.

Old Urban Legend as I remember it....

The warehouse fire that happened in Allentown jogged an old memory of mine. My grandmother lived on Gordon St. way back in the day, the 70s through the early 00s. When I was a teen in the 90s, there was an old urban legend, rumor, bullshit story, whatever, about the cemetery around the corner on Ridge Ave.

I can't remember the specific details, but it was something along the lines of years before (the 90's), kids were playing football in the cemetery, and one of them dove for the ball and smashed his head into one of the tombstones and died. I remember one of the tombstones having red stains on it.

I tried Googling this crazy story, but I didn't find anything. I realize this is a whack-a-doodle story, but I'm wondering if anyone has ever heard a version of it? Or if anyone might know the origins?

Again, I know it sounds ridiculous, but I also grew up believing the stories about Constitution Drive (albinos), Dark Town (a biker gang), and Becky's Grave (the haunted grave of a murdered teen). It was the 90s, and we were bored.

Follow up question to the NJ Beach post

I’m not a huge beach person myself, but I’d like to take my son down to the shore as he has not experienced it ever since we moved back here.

As a kid I used to go with friends who would rent the same house every year on LBI. I’ll be honest, the beach part of that experience really turned me off to beaches in general. The hanging out and having fun part was awesome.

I’m not looking to go back to LBI, but I’m looking for advice on where would be a fun place for a parent who doesn’t love the beach and a teen who is usually reluctant to go places in general. Is there a happy medium?

What would be the most cost effective accommodation? Hotel? Airbnb? I know a lot of people stay for a week at a time. I don’t know if that is something I would want to do.

Maybe a few days.

I’m hoping there are some an annual shore goer’s that give some advice to a novice!

Thanks!
