Looking for authors with same style of storytelling

Anybody know what authors write like Joe? I'm looking for some fiction with the same style of not spoonfeeding a narrative... just unraveling a story over time, tying the pieces together with good emotional intelligence. I'm kinda emotionally autistic, and am learning so much about understanding people by listening to MB, but I need to find some print authors. Thx

Opening a pdf?

How would I have a pdf display if I had a section for it to click into? Can it be stored in the Carrd site, or do I have to place it somewhere with my hosting? Thanks

How to get a series of mystery novels in front of influencers?

Re-releasing a series of mysteries soon (full disclosure I am not the author but I am helping with a marketing plan) because the original publisher did absolutely no marketing at all, so we're trying again. We want to ask book reviewers on social media to read and review them before they come out... how do I get their attention? Neither of us has much social media clout or reach at the moment. Thx

Thickness of raku glazes?

I hesitate asking questions like this on Reddit, because I know I will get answers all the way from "very thin" to "pretty thick," but if folks who have definite opinions could give me a bit more than that with their advice, I'd appreciate it.

I am used to painting commercial cone6 Amaco glazes on 05bisqued stoneware, so to me, "pretty thick" means like 4 coats of that stuff (except Oatmeal which is already like pudding coming out of the bottle). I have very little experience with dipping glazes.

That said, if you can relate to the above and have experience with painting raku glazes on, roughly how thick do you paint on raku glazes? Is it already pretty thick and you do just one coat, or should there be several coats to get good crackle or good metallic flashing?

I have 3-4 raku glazes that all need sieving and may need a bit more water since they've been sitting for quite a while. What do you use to estimate the thickness in the bucket versus the thickness of the coats?

Of course raku is unpredictable, but I want to minimize at least this variable if I can. Thanks

Looking for a specific vibe/style

I absolutely love Midnight Burger's style... a likeable, varied cast, little to no narration, lots of emotional depth and subtext without being overtly cloying. Intelligent, with actual science involved. Some humor and weirdness without being in-your-face about it. A long story arc - not anthology. Please recommend something - I'm on my third full listen to MB and would like to mix it up - I just know there's something similar out there. Am I asking for too much? MB spoiled me.

Olla out of stoneware? Or terra cotta only?

So ollas are used buried in gardens to allow water to slowly seep out and water plants at the roots. Traditionally out of terra cotta, but do you think unglazed cone6 stoneware will still work? Should it be bisque fired at a lower cone? I've made them out of stoneware but admittedly haven't really been able to tell how well they work because my gardening skills (aka keeping the olla filled regularly) are worse than my pottery skills.
