TIL why flight attendants sit like this for takeoff and landing

If there's a crash, the FA needs to open the emergency exit. If their arms are injured, it's a risk to the lives of everyone on the aircraft.

That is why they sit on rear facing seats with their arms tucked under their body. In the event of a crash, this gives maximum chance of protecting them from breaking their arms.

FAs perform such a vital role in safety and emergency, but people assume they are hospitality staff and waitresses. Please treat with respect 😡

Ladies in 40s, be financially independent

I'm 40f recent divorcee and reality of financials and long term saving and investment is hitting me now.

I have a decent job nothing fancy but i never built my own financial plan just assumed someone will handle it.

Now i need to work on building up savings independently and plan for retirement etc.

Relatives are the worst, they will take away what little you have.

So I'm hoping this will warn others, wish you all the best 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

40f retirement planning

I'm 40f divorcee in Bangalore with one high school daughter.

Earn approx 12 lpa, EMI of 38k pm for another 4 to 5 years. I don't have too much in mutual funds etc.

House is fully in my name and child support covers daughter's tuition etc.

Looking for people in similar situation, what do you all do?

I'm not very financially savvy and scared to trust relatives etc.

Thank you in advance 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
