Boss thinks we're underperforming, I think we're average - how do I convince him?

Our CRO is complaining that none of us are making quota. But if you ask around in our industry our target is way out of range. A few friends I know in our space thinks our quotas are unrealistic.

How do you all get "market" data for your space?

Anyone else have this issue?

Technical product PoCs take forever, anyone else?

Does anyone here sell a technical product, does it take 6-12 months to close a deal? the ACV could be huge at the end, but it's such a slog.

Curious to hear from others, what's your main bottleneck?

I started my SaaS's blog about a month ago with AI researched blogs. After 30 days my Google Search Console impressions went from about 50 to 1000 visitors per day in the competitive space of digital marketing (e.g. LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Instagram)

My hypothesis was AI generated generic blogs were not interesting and hence would not rank on Google. I'm a repeat founder and have first hand experience writing content for SEO.

So I automated the workflow to identify my ICP, find the questions they were asking, conduct deep research on the topic and collect quantitative metrics, and then write the blogs in a SEO way. Here's an example of one such blog.

The key was blogs with NUMBERS, hard cold data. Not generic opinion that any AI could write. This is what helped me get noticed in a crowded market.

I of course had to also post the links on reddit, Medium, X etc, but the hard work of doing the research and writing were all automated.

Just wanted to share with other founders something that worked, hopefully it's useful.
