How do I stop bra strap from showing

I can’t seem to buy a simple tshirt where my bra strap doesn’t peek out. Most pronounced on V necks but happens on crew necks too. I can do simple machine sewing. I usually have to shorten my tshirts so I would like to fix this too

Pattern fabric help

I made my first nightgown from a pattern using woven cotton just like the pattern suggested. It worked out but now I realize I really prefer knit nightgowns. Can I work up that same pattern in a knit? If so are there modifications I should make? Additionally the bottom portion of the armhole was slightly tight if I cut a deeper armhole do I also modify the sleeve to make that longer(deeper) too. Thanks

First item sewed from a pattern

Well I did it. First time I sewed something from a pattern. With some help from you guys I finished the Butterick 5792 nightgown. It fits decently a bit too fussy for everyday use. Not perfect for sure but I learned a few things!

Help with tight armholes

This is the first time I’ve tried to sew a pattern. A nightgown Butterick 5792. I got the neck and side seams and done basted in a sleeve. However the sleeve feels tight in the armpit area. Is there a fix for this? I usually just shorten Tshirts and pants so I am a true beginner. Usually my PJ’s are knits so the material gives. This is woven cotton but very light weight and soft. Thanks for you advice

Help with hem on Nine West T Shirt

I just hemmed a Nine West T Shirt 95% rayon 5% spandex using a twin stretch needle stitch length of 3 and tension of 2. It hemmed fine looks good but as I put it on I can feel the stitches pulling. In fact I can stretch the bottom hem and feel the hem moving. Now I see a small area where the bobbin stitch has disappeared. I do not have a serger and I don’t think a zig zag stitch would look nice. Any suggestions? I can probably resew the missing segment or pick whole thing out but if I redo I certainly want to avoid this happening again

Help remodeling circle skirt that doesn’t have side seams

I would like to downsize this skirt by about 4 inches in the body. There are no side seams. Can I just measure and make my own side seams? Can I just use the current elastic waist band which isn’t stretched out and has stitching through it now. I am a newbie to sewing
