i used to love them but am now very disillusioned. i’m curious about what made you guys stop liking them

what the HELL were those comparative questions. i ended up choosing adventure and discovery because my mind went blank trying to think of anything political for gatsby, and the first one was an immediate write off 💔

i’m worried that for paper 2 i won’t be able to write a second paragraph in time, so if worst comes to worst and i did an intro and full comparative paragraph only, is it still possible to achieve a high mark/band 6?

This is in London, England (I’ll keep it brief)

My dad owns our house, and my half brother (mid 40s) has lived here rent free, without paying bills his whole life. he treats us all so disrespectfully every single day (putting it lightly) and absolutely refuses to leave the house. He has a job but works from home mostly and has many health issues (I don’t even know what since it’s something new everyday) which he uses against us as further reason to not leave, and even says he’s going to live here forever.

We all want him out of the house but like I said he’s absolutely refusing to leave. What steps can we take to evict him?

i’ll try to keep this short bc i appreciate if anyone reads it.

half brother still lives in the house with me (18), my older sister (23) and parents (we have the same dad, my dad is rlly old) and it would be tooooo long to explain but that’s my situation.

to summarise SOME things:
-screams/ speaks so horribly at each of us every day, i feel horrible for my mum who has had to bear with this since before my older sister was born.
-keeps tabs on everyone (me in particular) e.g by coming into the kitchen whenever i do to STARE at what im doing
-never lets things go e.g if i ‘disrespect’ him he continuously taunts me/ screams at me about it (happened just now and when i go downstairs he will continue to absolutely harass me)
-absolutely REFUSES to leave the house (my dad is useless) and when it’s brought up he screams ‘no’ like a toddler
-home 24/7 despite him having a job because he is crippled or something with 100 diff health issues, so all i hear everyday is his voice and he’s everywhere i go in the house

it’s genuinely so much worse then i’m making it sound and it’s torturous. i go to uni this year and i don’t know how im gonna leave my sister and my mum here. we planned on moving out but that probably won’t happen for financial reasons so we are literally trapped here. he won’t leave, my dad won’t do anything and we have to deal with this horror every single day. i don’t know what to do and haven’t known for years.
